BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - EBSCO Industries Inc., the Birmingham-based company with interests in manufacturing, outdoors equipment, information services and publishing, today announced a reorganization that resulted in the elimination of 12 Birmingham jobs.
"These changes are intended to improve operational efficiency and bring more consistency in our communications to our diverse group of global customers," John Thompson, vice president for human resources, said in a prepared statement. "We certainly do regret the impact this change is having on the team members so impacted."
Further details of the reorganization were not disclosed. The privately-held company employs about 6,000 people worldwide.
