Cole Miller beats Andy Ogle, tries on heel role

On the UFC Fight Night 30 undercard, featherweight Cole Miller looked good in pulling out a unanimous decision win (29-28 on all three judge’s scorecards) over Brit Andy Ogle but made a clear decision to play the villain in his post-fight interview.

"I don't know what's going in with these judges in mixed martial arts, ruining my last fight," Miller said in reference to his prior bout – a controversial decision loss to Manny Gamburyan in August.

OK, no biggie. Miller is still sour about that loss. Cole seemed to have a Chael Sonnen-esque spiel planned for his interview, however, and managed to insult an entire continent, several past opponents and call out a potential future one.

"I don't know what's up with these European fighters, either. Ross Pearson couldn't beat me. Andy Ogle couldn't beat me. Dennis Siver couldn’t beat me. And you know what? Neither can 'Colin McGoober,' so bring it."

Miller was presumably talking about fast-rising but injured star Conor McGregor. Miller then ran out of the Octagon, not answering interviewer Joe Rogan’s initial question and not allowing him a chance to follow up, as the British crowd rained down boos on the American.

Time will tell if Miller’s bad-guy persona will stick. Clearly, it doesn’t come too easy to the American Top Team fighter.

Moments before talking trash about Ogle and the rest, Miller appeared to pull the young TUF vet aside, compliment him and, perhaps, let him know that the diatribe was about to come.
