Microsoft has just released a new commercial for the company?s Surface Pro tablet, entitled ?The Vibe?.
The ad features people dressed in business attire dancing around an office while both ?working? on (editing spreadsheets and composing email, respectively) and ?playing? with (singing into the device using a USB microphone) the device. The ad also notably show?s off the Surface Pro?s stylus and attachable Touch/Type covers, which are sold separately. Microsoft?s new ad is similar to the one it ran for the Surface RT last month, the difference being that this ad is centered towards business users.
The Surface Pro was launched this past Saturday (February 9) starting at $899 and early reports suggest that many locations sold out of their stock; however, it?s unclear how many units were available to begin with. Surface Pro can be purchased at a Microsoft Retail Store along with a handful of big box vendors including Best Buy, Target, and WalMart.
Only time will tell if this ad is deemed a success by the public and whether or not Microsoft?s new tablet has what it takes to go up against the iPad. Speaking of which, Apple?conveniently?announced a new 128 GB model of iPad 4 just before the launch of the Surface Pro. iPad can be purchased at both Apple Retail Stores or the Apple Online Store.
What do you think of the ad? ? Is it a success? ? Perhaps more?importantly, is Microsoft?s Surface Pro a successful product?
