Police Log: Barricaded Family, Complaints about Parties - Milford ...

Monday, Dec. 31

?3:42 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report he had struck another vehicle on Cedar Street earlier that day.

3:54 p.m.: Police received notice from the state Registry of Motor Vehicles that a man on Claudette Drive had his license to operate revoked indefinetely. Police stopped at his address to relay the information but he refused to come to the door.

5:00 p.m.: A woman told police her ex-husband had just blocked her into a parking spot at Rite Aid on Prospect Street.?

5:51 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported near Domino's Pizza on Cape Road. Police requested an ambulance, but two people refused treatment at the scene.

6:22 p.m.: A caller told police she had just spoken to her boyfriend on the phone and he seemed disoriented. He has a history of seizures. Police checked and he did seem a little disoriented, and had been drinking. He agreed to be evaluated. The man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:12 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main at Hayward streets, police are seeking a court summons to charge Jaqueline M Ramalho, 37, of 19 Lee St., Apt. 1, Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield.

9:07 p.m.: A man walked in to the lobby of police headquarters and reported his ex-girlfriend had just assaulted him at her home. Police determined the man had been at her house for a child visitation and she made him leave. Both parents were referred to Probate Court.

11:18 p.m.: A caller told police a group of kids was throwing beer bottles into the road on South Main Street, near Signs Plus. Police checked and everything was OK.

11:32 p.m.: A caller told police her friend was highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance on Congress Street. Police took an intoxicated female into custody for assault and battery on a police officer. Additional information was not immediately available.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

12:36 a.m.: Police received a call from 7-Eleven, reporting an intoxicated man was causing a disturbance in the parking lot. Police were not able to locate the man.

12:39 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Dilla Street, at Louisa Lake, police arrested Joseph M. Flinkfelt, 31, of 8 Senate Rd., Apt. 8, Milford, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation and a warrant.

1:11 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Pouliot Street. Police restored peace.

1:44 a.m.: A caller complained of noise on Winter Street. Police checked and everything was OK.

1:50 a.m.: A woman reported something about her husband, but could not give any further information due to a language barrier.

1:54 a.m.: A man was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center from Main Street, after having a possible heart issue. He was also reported to be intoxicated.

2:42 a.m.: A caller complained of loud music on a second floor of a South Bow Street apartment. Police restored peace.

4:08 a.m.: A caller reported neighbors were having a loud party on Fayette Street. Police spoke to the people involved.

4:34 a.m.: A mother reported her 20-year-old daughter had ingested pills and was attempting to choke her. The mother said she also kicked her father in the chest. The mother said the daughter took the phone from her and smashed it, disconnecting a call to 911. On call back, the woman said she had locked herself in the bedroom and the daughter, armed with a knife, was attempting to kick the door in. All other family members were locked in the bedroom, too. Police responded and took the daughter to Milford Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.

6:54 a.m.: A caller reported loud music on Oliver Street. Police responded and reported that the people making the noise promised to turn down the music.

12:52 p.m.: Police were asked to accompany a landlord to Grant Street, while the landlord spoke to several tenants.

2:28 p.m.: A woman was reported to be unresponsive, but breathing, in a bathroom at Milford Mandarin Restaurant.

4:34 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to a West Street home for a report of a man choking. The man was semi-responsive when first responders arrived.
